Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is an MMORPG based on the Warhammer Fantasy world from Games Workshop. You chose a race on one of two sides; Order (comprised of The Empire, the Dwarfs, and the High Elves) or Chaos (Greenskins, Chaos, and Dark Elves).  Both sides offer the same basic careers (classes), but these are heavily distinguished between races as well such as Sorcerers  for the Dark Elves, or Engineers for the Empire, with some very specialized abilities, as with other games, engineers can deploy turrets and other fortifications, sorcerers on the other hand are able to heavy damage to their enemies at the risk of killing themselves. Character customization in Warhammer Online isn’t overly extensive, but you can add tattoos and other miscellany to your character to help distinguish you from the rest. Combat is at the heart of Warhammer Online, and engaging in battle is the main way to level in Warhammer Online.

The singleplayer quests in Warhammer Online are fairly varied and entertaining at times (in one a Goblin asks you to save him by finding an alternate source of food for a ravenous Orc), but after a few they begin to feel generic, but luckily they’re never predictable. The rewards for quests in Warhammer Online make them worth doing (some of the best armour is rewarded by quests), but the main reason to do them is to get the titles added to your name that come with success, such as “The Fearless”. On the other hand, the multiplayer quests are Warhammer Online’s strongpoint. The game lets you join any quest being completed by players at any stage (if level appropriate), and the more you do in that quest, the greater the share of loot you get upon completion, the battles in these quests are intense and chaotic, and very entertaining, and every quest is altered to make it seem like a new quest, which keeps the game fresh and interesting.

Combat in Warhammer online is superb, early on in the game a quest encourages you to join one of the games high action PVP scenarios, and once enough players have signed up to the quest, your spirited away to the battlefield, where you’ll compete against other teams of players in traditional game modes like Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, King of the Hill, and every other classic mode available.

Warhammer Online is one of the best looking MMO games to date, and has been optimized to run on a huge variety of machines. The animations aren’t always smooth, but the textures are vibrant and detailed to make up for it. Warhammer Online has excellent particle effects, that brighten the world and really engage you with the combat. Overall, Warhammer Online is a fresh offering to the MMO genre, and removes a lot of the grind associated with other MMO games, the combat is always chaotic, and is always fun, I would recommend it to anyone just starting off in the MMO game world.

The brilliance of Napoleonic War is the same timer based building and upgrading that was used in Evony Free Forever.  This timer based system is the real-time strategy aspect of the game, and means the player needs to think about what to build next so they have enough resources to build something afterwards, or so they can build a pre-requisite of another building or troop type.  This timer based RTS system means the NapWar player doesn’t need to be there the whole time.  This lends itself to players of other MMORPG games like World of Warcraft or even Evony itself.  As you can switch windows to NapWar and check on your upgrades and if neccessary you can kick off another building or upgrade after the timer has finished.  This is particually useful when playing a game like WoW as when you jump on a ship or griffen to fly to somewhere else, or if there is 2 minutes of down time while waiting for other members of your alliance to gather, you can do a quick window switch, play some NapWar and switch back to WoW.

Also the alliances inside NapWar can take up to 100 people, so if you have an alliance in WoW you can extend your friendship into NapWar and have the same people in an alliance in Napwar.  This will make your alliance stronger as you can talk about either game inside the other game.

The ranking system of NapWar is Prestige.  Prestige is a measure of how big your city is, how many troops you have and how much technology you have.  Building up any of these will make your prestige go up.  Attacking other players takes prestige off them.
Playing NapWar is relatively simple as you can go through beginner quests which teach you how to play.  Once you’re out of the 7 day beginner protection the strategy part comes in.  You need to make sure when you attack someone that you leave enough troops at home so that if someone attacks you then you can defend your city from them.  More Tactics come in as you can now deploy your troops into a rudamentary strategy of defend or move forward.  There is also a graphical representation of the fights and you can even go in and control the fights real time.  This is a new fighting engine and is time and turn based, which works suprisingly well, even on web browser technology.

Fog of War: Napoleonic War is a fun game to play, and with the timer based Strategy system the game player can chose how much time to spend on it.  It could take over your life, or it could be a nice side game while playing another MMORPG.

So the storyline of the game world is based of the world Gielinor, a fantasy realm divided into different kingdoms, regions and cities.  Players will be visiting all of these kingdoms as they advance in the game, both through leveling and quests.  The game has an expansive and free mechanisms for traveling around since the realm is of vast kingdoms.  The easy way and which doesn’t cost anything is on foot.  While there are spells that can teleport you which cost some items and take time to replenish, there are mechanical means of transportation as well which will count towards premium membership and features.

As usual in MMORPGs, players can customize their characters in the start at the creation of their account.  The gameplay consists of quests and leveling up.  Leveling up is done by defeating monsters (NPCs) which come in different variation for different places or areas.  Players basically have to complete quests to advance more in the realm.  The quests basically are to gather some resources or to kill certain monsters.  Quests reward players gold the economy of the game along with items depending on the quests. The game doesn’t have an storyline which the players have to follow on, making the game a sandbox of random goals and objectives.  Players can combat as told before monsters and other players.  The PvP (Player Vs Player) is only available in certain parts of cities, players can interact with each other through chatting, trading or cooperating in certain cooperative mini games or quests.

In depth speaking, there are total 24 skills that a player can have and advance on in Runescape.  Though some skills are limited to paying players only adding frustration as a lot of cool stuff is only for the paying players.  Skills are related to everything, the environment, NPCs and other players.  Players gain experience as they use their skills gaining levels in them which allows better interactions as well better yield or out come of a certain skill while sometimes a certain level of skill is necessary in achieving a certain interaction and gaining of resources.

choose anything they want to do in combat and master it.  For example player can choose both sword mastery or wizard mastery.  It doesn’t depend on the character class. PvP combat can be performed in certain areas or mini games but there is also free style PvP in wilderness area where players can engage any player they want along with NPCs for their items or experience. Quests are basically small story lines since there is no main story to the game.  Generally quests require players to either team up and hunt down a major monster or simply to collect and process certain resources, The game’s main economy is gold coins, which can be used to buy weapons, resources and other items in the game.

For the final words for the game.  The game can run on low and high graphics.  While both are not so good looking, running the game on low setting causes less glitches and lag.  The reason the game has been very popular and successful is that it was the first MMORPG among others that was Free To Play but since their success and all the developers are now cheaping it out, some of the fine quests and skills are with held form the free user accounts.  Over all the game is nice to try out but not for the long run.

Since the game doesn’t have a storyline, there is no grounding for the players.  Players have 4 types of classes from which to choose from.  Players can have all the class types available able in a single server but can only interact between their characters only in the same server, the 4 types are, Fighters, Archers, Mage and clerics. All classes have their own set of strength and weaknesses.
Fighters are the melee type that can choose between sword and shield for high rate of attacking or two handed sword or an Axe as a weapon with heavier damage.  Archers are ranged units that can choose between bow and cross bow for weapons, they have excellent range and posses skills which can cause DoT (damage over time).  Mages are magical type which can buff other players or team mates, they can do great deal of damage with their spells.  Finally the clerics are the healing class, they posses skills that related to healing themselves and others and are more of

the defensive type.  Note the Fighters and Clerics class are the humans while Mages and Archers are elves though this doesn’t has an affect on the game play.
There are 4 ranks for each class, ranks can be gained as the players level up.  Each ranks allows the players to advance further in the game as well as allow the usage of certain weapons which have ranks for requirements.  The quest systems is typical of MMORPGs, requiring players to kills a certain number of NPC monsters or a NPC Boss monster.  Quests are gained through various NPCs in the cities.  The world consists of cities which have areas around them like forests, deserts, beaches etc from where players can find Monsters NPCs for leveling or quest requirements. In addition to rank, there are also Titles which are given to the players as achievements of performing some certain actions, the Titles can be both negative or positives according to the players act but over all do not interfere with the game play in anyway.

There are a total 3 kinds of skills players can have to work on.  One are active skills which are used in combat, the second are passive skills which allow the players to perform certain actions or gain advantages or bonuses, the third are miscellaneous skills that contribute towards item crafting or transportation skills.  Another aspect of active skills is that they can be Empowered, allowing the players to improve their skills in more customizing way.  The economy of the game has 4 units, the least is copper then comes sliver then gold and lastly most valuable gem. 1000 copper make 1 sliver  while 1000 sliver make 1 gold coin and 100 gold make 1 gem.

players can get married by special premium features from the games cash shop which allows a lot more features than that.  For PvP, players can fight with each other in Free Battle Zones which are present in all the cities, there are not level restrictions for players in Free Battle Zones, though players can form guilds and wage war against other guilds which doesn’t require players to go in to any battle zone to fight, they can fight anywhere they like as long as they find each other in sight.  Players don’t entirely need to form guilds, players can make parties to perform certain hard quests or gaining experience leveling.
Final thought for the game.  The game is very polished in all the aspects of RPG but lacks storyline, though there is much more to its uniques the game gets a 4 star attraction.

From the start of any RPG game, players need to create their character for the game. The character creation in this game is as unique as the game itself as there are not many or any game like it. First, players have to choose from five Origins of where or what they were and are. Origins is mostly just story fill-in but they do limit the choices of Enhancements you can use. They also change the Villians you bump into and the types of enemies you face. City of Heroes tries to tie your story line in with your game play.

Then there are five Archetypes to choose from which will be explained further later, Players get to choose a set of primary and secondary powers,they have to make an avatar

and a costume for their Hero or Villain, lastly and uniquely players will create an individual battle cry and can make a background story for their character for the extras.

The gameplay is made of two things Archetypes and Origins, Origins are the type of enhancements that are limited to each origin to advance on and to be able to use them, Origins can be said to be powers that have different effects for different types of Villains and opposite faction. The five origins are Technology, Natural, Magic, Science and Mutation. Archetypes are classes in the game that effect the powers of the character of the players and the players style of gameplay, there are also five archetypes in which there are Controllers, Defenders, Scrappers and Tankers. In addition to archetypes there are also ‘Epic Archetypes’ which are more challenging and are for advanced players, they can be unlocked after reaching the required level.

Now the game world is basically like all the MMORPGs are about, In this game you can play free style and keep the butt’s of evil villains and NPCs (also evil) that you find or you can make your own small team like those from comics “X-men” or “Justice league” and take down big quests and epic Villains and monsters, The main goal is to protect the city or cause havoc in the city (for Villains), Random phenomenons occur in the game randomly, there are moments when a big Villain based organization is attacking the city or the a giant monster is destroying building wrecking havoc its all up to the heroes to save the city.

The game graphics are not so bad nor so good but they present the elements of imagination those of comic books consistence to bring in the environment from the eyes of Super Hero or

Other then goodies inside the game, there are goodies outside of game as well, Players can buy Boosters packs, powers and special limited costumes for a better experience of their enjoyment, Furthermore unlike other games the player’s Character isn’t deleted even after in activity the game grantees a players character would not be deleted even after 4 years of in activity.

The game is set on the original events from episode IV to episode V, The game was launched having 10 planets: Tatooine, Naboo, Corellia, Talus, Rori, Dantooine, Lok, Yavin IV, Endor, and Dathomir. More planets were added on the releases of the three expansions after its first release. Two of the new planets were Kashyyyk and Mustafar. In addition to planets, 12 space zones are also persent, there is also deep space which is usually a place for high level players and PvP (Player Versus Player) battles. The planets were well designed in respect to the film and were later improved to provide further details of the planets. Deep space is a very big area mostly containing space stations if near a planet and space debris and other anomalies.

The game features almost all the cameos from the film. Some points of interest for players would be R2-D2, C-3PO, their escape pod on Tatooine, the abandoned Rebel bases on Dantooine. Ewoks and Rancors are also present on their places to be battled with. The characters who are present in the game are Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Emperor Palpatine, Admiral Ackbar, Jan Dodonna, Boba Fett, Jabba, Borvo the Hutt, Bib Fortuna, Salacious Crumb, Captain Panaka, Max Rebo, Wedge Antilles, Gavyn Sykes, Watto, HK-47, Boss Nass etc. A mind blowing treat for Star War fans.

The gameplay consists of professions that can be chosen. In other words classes. The classes are Jedi, Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, Commando, Spy, Officer, Medic, Entertainer, Trader making the main classes of total nine but players can choose additional secondary professions from three categories. Before the class choosing, players have to select their species from ten different species which are as follows Human, Twi’lek, Zabrak, Wookiee, Trandoshan, Rodian, Mon Calamari, Bothan, Sullustan and Ithorian. Adding more choices to the game, one of the game expansions allows the players to pilot space ships which allows the players to choose ships from a lot of variety.

Coming to the Game Graphics the Online Game might seem old for its time but it was released five years ago, so at that time the game graphics were at top of the line. The graphics are still not that bad but not overly good either. The game combat system is mostly based to be First Person Shooter. Players can either make things automatic which has a downside to decreased experience gain but players can manually do the combat as well, making the game flexible for both type of players. In addition, players can place buildings of their own like vehicle repair garages, shuttle ports, cloning facilities, hospitals, cantinas etc where they can maintain, decorate and interact with other Online Game Players. Gameplay encourages realistic social behavior such as it’s player based economy and other real-life social phenomena like a complicated division of labor.

Overall the game is very complex with interactions. Those who like to sit hours and hours playing virtual Star Wars lives wouldn’t find any better game then Star War Galaxies. The game is one of the Best MMO’s ever to be created. Its a five star attraction.

Warrior Epic is action based game, It is a MMORPG, a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.  Basically set on the fantasy universe, the player will start in the Warrior Hall where they are to make their character and mange their adventures. The player can chose from wide range of classes, each class has its own strength and weaknesses as well as style of gameplay. You can choose your characters visual details you can also change the details of your hall, the players adventure in multiplayer campaigns, solo quests and PvP (Player Versus Player).

In normal role playing games death would mean a big frustration plaguing the players as they try to cover a certain aspect of the game.  This is were Warrior Epic is unique because in this game death doesn’t mean go and retry, instead it opens up many new strategic ways to the players.  The spirit system in the game allows the player’s fallen warrior to not only be able to revive again but also can be transformed into spirits that can be used to increase a weapons power or give it new abilities and skills to use, or the spirit can also be used in the battle when called upon they would cause massive damage depending on the players level and needs.

Unlike other MMORPGs Warrior epic will satisfy players online experience.  The game is very exciting even for those who have little time and play online games a few hours in their week.  Warrior epic achieves satisfaction in one it ways by having a lot variety and quantity of quests.  These quests and missions normally 20-30 minutes sessions allow players to advance far in the game.  This compliments the player to better leveling, gaining loot and advancing faster in a shorter time frame, which is very less found on other existing online games.

In Travia you are leader or the chieftain of a village in roman times. You have different choices on who you want to play as. For example Romans, Gauls or Teutons. You have the control over your Travia village and the lands around the village as you are the leader. The lands of Travia have resources which you have to gather like wood, clay, iron crops etc. You are expected to gather to expand your economy and village by building new buildings for different purposes which is one of the main features that Travia has taken from the RTS game Age of Empires. There is a building tree which has buildings for growth and economy like granaries and also buildings for military like barracks and archeries. Troops can be trained at the barracks and with them you can raid other villages or defend yourself from other players on the same travia server.

Now the game concept is clear, we can call Travian a MMORTS – Massively Multiplayer Online Real Time Strategy Browser Game. Travia can be very frustrating for those players who not patient since the real time strategy is quite “real” time taking as it is very very slow in performing actions. Increasing resources production would not only take “real time minutes” but also will take resources. In gathering more resources giving Travia a touch of the real world. The downfall of this Online Game is you can only do one type of action at a time like gathering or attacking, but thankfully you can chat and send messages to your friends or enemies during your action time. The map will not only show the map of the area your in but also will tell how much time will it take for you to complete a certain action that your doing.

As you play the game more often you will find that the game mostly does all the work it self, it just awaits your instruction on what to do, which can be somewhat boring to those who are hungry for action. The game basically focused at those games who have used the “Email system” to play mulitplayer the difference being that it is browser based making it automatic yet still a bit boring. But it can be a great game for those who have little time to spend on games, as they can give instructions and comeback later to see what happened and what to command next.

The goal of the game is simple. It is to become powerful and dominate the server you are in. Now its your way to choose, either form Travian Alliances and become one nation under one banner or by conquering your opponents. New players who play Travian with determination can and will dominate the game, but its not a game for an causal person who just wants a taste of it for a few days. The good feature of the game is you can’t lose or win over another. For example if you are being conquered by another, the other player won’t be able to gain control of your last village which would give the chance to keep playing Travian again and expand.

Currently the game has more then a million players registered and playing since the game is Free To Play. This means you will always have someone as your enemy and someone as your friend. The game is built on simple non-animated 2D graphics which are beautiful made anda are guaranteed to make you an addict of the game. Travia however is now losing players to the brand new Free Browser Game of Evony. Evony is very similar to Travia, however it is updated in gameplay and graphics.

After the death of the goddess, Teos was left unprotected and the other gods sought to take control over Teos and created monsters to invade and destroy it. The race of the Dragons ran for the safety of the mountains as the chaos and destuction consumed the world.  As the dust settles Toes is now is watched over by two goddesses and the remaining of the Dumaina race have been divided into two factions, one for each goddess.

The two factions, the Elves and the Vail now continuously find them selves in conflict with each other.  Being fueled from old age tensions.  Soon after the humans join the forces of Elves while the Nordien that were buried under the soils reemerge as “Death eaters” and have allied with the Vail.  These two  factions, the Alliance of Light and Union of Fury now clears Teos from monsters that still remain and have started a never ending war with each other to gain control over the whole of Teos.

Shaiya is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) which has been rated adult due to its graphical violence and controversial scenes of nudity and depravity.  The game is Free to Download as while as Free To Play.  It should be said it is one of those games that really could be a great fun without having to actually pay for it.  Basically what makes this game unique compared to the rest of the games in the MMO line is that the controls are kind of based as a first person shooter but all the interactions and gameplay is still MMORPG.  Its nice to find that you can actually move around using the modern style of keys (W, S, A, D) instead of old school arrow keys.  While most MMOs support this too but some MMOs lack this ability and don’t give options to change them, no matter which the controls, modern or old, all the games are basically interactive through one button and this is the left mouse click which you will find the same in this game.  There could be more said on the control system but its well enough to say that game has an excellent key mapping for controls.

There are a total of 12 classes to choose from, six for each faction and six styles of gameplay.  The Alliance of Light classes are Defender, Fighter, Priest, Ranger, Archer and Mage.  While the classes of the Vail are Guardian, Warrior, Oracle, Assassin, Hunter, Pagan.  The classes  of Defender, Guardian, Fighter and Warrior are the melee classes, one is based on defensive melee while the other on offensive.  Priest and Oracle are the healing classes and attempt to do their best with groups but they are weak at defense and offense.  The Assassin and the Ranger class are unique as they are basically  still melee gameplay but with high skills in being agile and critical hits.  Archer and Hunter class you can guess from their name are the ranged classes and lastly the Mage and the Pagan are spell casters.

The game is a sandbox type game, player can free level on their own or take quests from NPCs which usually require to kill some monsters.  They players have the ability to choose their difficulty which is an amazing quality of the game as most MMOs don’t support such things.  The player has the ability to chat in the game via a chat box which can be customized for own likes.  Similar to World of Warcraft the player has the ability to have mounts.  Mounts are animals that be ridden and kept as pets.

Another amazingly unique feature is the “Blessing of the Goddess” this ability allows the complete faction on which side you belong receive bonuses that can be enhanced by fighting and gaining points in PvP (Player Verses Player) battles. The bonuses apply to both PvP and PvE (Player Versus Environment).  Usually the bonuses are on health or mana capacity or regenerations.

Over all the game is very entertaining and the fun part is that it is Free unlike other games in the same line such as WoW the game is totally free, I give the game 10/10 as it satisfies all the elements of a good MMORPG.
