Character Creation – In the character creation portion of Kitsu Saga, you start by selecting
your faction. You can choose one of two options. The order of the iron claw, or the Flamewind society. You then can choose your class and appearance. You can choose from Asura, which is mainly fist weapons and pole arms. Water, which is melee weapons. Astral, which is sabers and swords. And then Heaven blade. Strictly swords. It doesn’t matter what you choose at this point because you later select your class again during the training process. There are several hairstyles tional  sense where you get one skill per book and you have to buy each skill. Instead you have and faces to give you your own personal look. It’s not on par with games lie perfect world but it will do.
 
Skills and level progression – The exp rate at lower levels is pretty high, just keep doing the quests and you’ll be right on your way. This is made much easier with the quest finder and auto mapping. Not only does the game tell you all avail quests, but it takes u to them as well. Along with taking you directly to the quest mob or item. Making the long walks through the world map less tiresome. Skills are learned through skill books, but not in the tradia book for you current fighting style and you learn all your skills from reading that one book and purchasing the skills out of it as you accumulate sp. I actually enjoy that because at later levels you can find secret books and learn different martial arts forms and spells to further set you apart from fellow players.

Graphics and Game Play – As far as graphics goes when it comes to Kitsu Saga all I can say is wow. They really managed to pull off the Anime cell shaded look that I love to see. The scenery, atmosphere, landscaping. I mean everything just blends well in this game. Skill animations mob detail it’s all there. As far as gameplay goes. It’s on par. Not perfect but nobody can get it all right. There is some heavy grinding at some points and the “fedex” quests to tend to get tedious.

The Auto mapping makes it more then bearable. It also take some of the immersion out of the game knowing that whenever you get sick of looking at the world you can alt tab and go to a better place while your character deals with the walking on his own.

           Gameplay – 7/10
           Sound    – 7/10
 Overall – 8/10 A must play for anime lovers!

Anyway, The story of the game goes like this, Eorzea used to be divided into three states and are at war. The three states are composed of Ul’Dah, Limsa Lominsa and lastly the Gridania. Every nation is an an enemy of a certain nation but when a nation from the east came called Ala Mhigo which are known as a strong nation declared war with the three nations, but actually Ala Mhigo never came, so there were a lot of mercenaries and soldiers that became jobless. As a result, they decided to form guilds so that they can use it as a way of living or earning money.

There are actually five races available for playing, first is the Hyur, they have a lot lot lot of similarities compared to the humans therefore to me they’re humans. The Hyur are sub-divided into two races, one are the Highlanders which used to be rulers of Ala Mhigo. The other ones are called Midlanders. They are slowly diminishing in numbers now, so most of them worked as mercenaries, for Highlanders, only the male gender is available for play while for the Midlanders both genders are available.

The Elezens does look alot like the elves, the original people living in Eorzea. They are living in Wildwood and Duskwight Elezen. The Wildwoods are gifted with sight, of course if you’re gifted in sight, they must be archers and yes, they are archers. Duskwights are good in using their sense of hearing therefore they move better during the night.

The Lalafell, looks like small dwarves without the mustaches and long beards. They are known to have great ability and intelligence. They are divided into two groups, the Plainsfolk and the Dunesfolk.

Fourth are the Roegadyn, they look massive and tall, they are also divided into two factions the Sea Wolves and Hellsguard. They Sea Wolves are known to be Navy Mercenaries, while the Hellsguard speaks for itself, they are magicians who uses the powers of hell.

Lastly, Miqo’te they are cat like ladies, they are also divided into two factions the Seekers of the Sun and Keepers of the Moon.

There are numerous jobs available some uniques jobs are the carpenter, armorer, tanner, goldsmith, culinarian, fisher, botanist and of course they warriors like the archers, gladiators, lancers just to name a few.

The graphics of the game is much alike to Final Fantasy:Crisis Core of PSP, or better. They are fixing a lot of balances of the game now. Therefore, updates are really good. So, I can advice that you should try the game if you’re a big fan of Final Fantasy. Happy Holidays!

Gameplay? You’ll have to create your own character, and travel the places and look for the Dragon Ball, and compete in the Tenakaichi Budokai and dream to become a legendary fighter. That dream isn’t a dream anymore that would be your goal baby! There are three races available for the game Humans, Namekians and Majins, there are three kinds of jobs avaiable for the humans, the martial artist, just like the Krillin then you’ll get the chance to pick between a Swordmaster or a Polemaster just like Goku. Next is the Spiritualist,  they’re mystics who have spiritual techniques, 2nd job will be a Crane Hermit or Turtle Hermit and lastly, the engineer just like Bulma, then for the 2nd job you can pick between a Gun Maniac or a Mech Maniac. Next race, would be, Ready 1 2 3, GO! This ain’t racing. LOL. Next would be Namekian’s, Piccolo is a Namekian, there are two jobs available for the said clan, 1st is a Dragon Clan, members of the clan are dedicated in supporting their warriors, therefore, they are healers and buffers. 2nd job will have an option to become a Poko Priest or a Denden Priest. While the other job for the Namekian’s what’s to support for the priests if they don’t have warriors? Nameks such as Piccolo are warriors, they have the option to becoma a Dark Warrior or a Shadow Knight  for the 2nd job.  Lastly are the Majins the villains of course, 1st is the Wonder Majin’s they’re spirtualists and has the option to become a Plasma Majin and Karma Majin for the 2nd job. Next are the Mighty Majins they are tanks with incredibly great strength, they are good in close combat. 2nd jobs are Grand Chef Majin and Ultimate Majin. After reaching level 50, if you collected all the Dragon Balls that means Shenron will grant you a special power, Super Saiyan for humans, Great Namek for Naemkians and Majins will become Kid Buu.

Disconnect your internet when not in use. I’ve been hearing a lot of complaints on WOW that they got their accounts hacked and stuff. Godd thing if they can still recover them but what if they can’t.

Guild Wars 2 is already making some tremors just below our feet lately. I’ve been reading a lot about Guild Wars 2 and there are surely lots of great potentials. It’s not just a remake of Guild Wars, it’s another thing. According to the makers. With those words I’m sure I’ll be holding on.

Guild Wars 2 has a lot in store for us, so I’m just gonna name a few, firstly, Guild Wars 2 is trying to achieve a dynamic content, meaning when you’re playing Guild Wars 2, it’s like you feel every swing of the sword, every arrow that they shoot, you know. We all want it look and feel realistic right? From the screenshots I can see that they’re really up to something great. They are also trying to achieve that you become a star on this game. Wouldn’t that be great?

Guild Wars 2 is also trying to achieve a social atmosphere, since you’re not playing to create enemies right? We’re here playing because we want to have fun, and to have fun we need company. So, Guild Wars will provide us that need. So how? Usually, there only two types to finish a quest, firstly is to this alone and secondly is to do it with parties. Now, Guild Wars 2 decided to add something up, it’s gonna be you and the world. Yes, you’ll be working with your surroundings my friend.

Guild Wars uses the CCG-like skill system and Guild Wars 2 will be using the same thing, difference is they’re going to improve the system some more. Where explaining how a skill works is more visual, I sometimes get tired of thinking on how a skill works. So, this would be great for me.

And there are 5 races in total, the Humans, Charr, Norn, Asura and Sylvari. Where each race has unique abilities and not to mention the professions, each professions is also unique. So, the flexibility of the skills went to a wider concept. We might gonna think of combos and skill to use just before we sleep, while taking a bath, while sipping your coffee or something like that someday. I’m just freakin’ excited on this game.

Though so far, the release date is not yet announced since they wanted to take their time in developing the game as best as they could. So, I guess that’s better, since they’re not just here for the taking. To play the game you just need to purchase the package and there will be no monthly subscriptions. So, it’s gonna be a one-time deal.

Tera Online is an Massive Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) developed by En Masse Entertainment and Bluehole Studio, they are proud that they are going to release the game in a dynamic battle system gameplay, where players are allowed to fully control their characters, where gaming controllers are actually allowed in the game. Unfortunately this game will only be released on the PC.

There are six races that you could choose from Arami, Baraka, Castanics, High Elves, Humans and Poporis. Together they are trying to team up to protect their kingdoms. Therefore, the game is trying to build relationships between kingdoms to battle and go on missions together with other races. Unlike other games where the environment is just a venue for leveling.

Each races has unique personalities on the story and as well as culture including the architecture of their sturctures. There are eight classes that you could choose from, you have to choose from being an archer, berserker, lancer, mystic, priest, slayer, sorcerer and warrior. I think not all races has these certain classes. Therefore, this what makes each races unique. In fact, this could also be a reason why you need each races in forming a group in the future.

You might ask when will this game be released? The team is hoping that they can release this game next year, but unfortunately this game is not even open in a beta version yet. Currently, the game is in a pre-beta version, therefore they are only allowing very limited chosen players to check the game out. What a bummer. You can actually apply as a beta player if you want.

By the way the game is available for Koreans in a closed beta version and according to the administrators that they are now developing the game in an English language. Where a huge difference will occur compared to the Korean version. The game will also be released in a German and French language. Since they’re targeting the North America and Europe first.

For game specs they will require an Intel Core Duo 2 Processor, a 2 GB RAM and a NVidia GeForce 7600 or ATI Radeon X1800 GTO. Well it’s not too much for the specs I guess.

If you’re asking when the game will be released? It’s not announced yet but they’re saying that the game will be released real soon. So, hang on. I think it’s better that way since they want a better feel for the player where we can all see that they’re not in haste for the money.

The game will be available in retail and on a monthly subscription. Prices will be announced as soon as the release date is announced.

Rift is a massive multiplayer online role playing game(MMORPG) which is gonna be released next hopefully next year, the game is currently running in beta mode, therefore bugs are being fixed as much as possible. Rift is developed by Trion Worlds, they are situated in Redwood Cliff, California.

There are two factions available, The Guardians and The Defiant, the Guardians are the one who’s on the good side, while the Defiant are the dark forces. These two factions are subdivided into different races, therefore this gives the game a wide selection for races and classes which I will define a little bit further later on. The Guardians has the Dwarves, the High Elves and the Mathosians. While the Defiant factions has Bahmi, Eth and Kelari.

Seriously, there are more than a dozen of classes to start with, to name a few they have the four basic classes, which are the warrior, cleric, rogue and mage. Then depending on the race that you chose, you will encounter different types of secondary jobs, some of them are champions, reavers, purifier, inquisitor, nightblade, ranger, elementalist, warlock and a lot more. Of course, it depends on what race you’ve chosen. Each race are provided with unique supports and hitters. By the way there are a more jobs that are being developed by Trion Worlds.

PVP is very available on the game so that you can test your builds in fighting a bigger battle. Crafting and trading is also part of the system so that player can achieve their dream builds in the future faster. This is game is on the multiplayer online role playing game(MMORPG) category, therefore you will be needing a fast internet connection. If you might be asking, this game needs to be purchased and the price is not announced yet. According to the providers they will announce the price of the game months before the game will be released.

For players who aren’t equipped in the English language, games in French and German, as we can see Trion Worlds are targeting a very large amount of gamers all over the world. So this could be a high probable rival for the current top games such as World of Warcraft (WOW).

As this is one of the latest games we can see from the screenshot that this game boasts high quality graphics. I myself can’t actually wait to play this game. Kudos to Trion Worlds.

Stark Trek Online: away mission combat

the events of Star Trek Nemesis, with all its associated empires and oddities.You command your own ship, within the United Federation of Planets fleet, or (once you reach a high enough level) the fleet of the Klingon Empire.

Character customization is one of Star Trek Online’s most redeeming characteristics, there’s a large range of races to choose from, and it also lets you create your own alien race, much like Spore.  Unfortunately there isn’t much in the way of ship customization. You’ve got three types to chose from, cruisers (balanced), escorts (high firepower, low hitpoints), and science ships (support). To make up for this though, the vessels are very accurate when compared to Star Trek Canon, and are well modeled and interesting to watch.

Fortunately you do get to customize the bridge of your ship, for the true Star Trek experience, but it doesn’t have a function role within the game. Your often sent on quests, but they’re not really memorable or all that interesting, which can be blamed mostly on the hasty writing of the games plot. The soundtrack in Star Trek Online is one of the games strengths,  it always seems symphonic and epic in nature, and this adds well to the atmosphere of the game, particularly when navigating in deep space.

Overall, Stark Trek Online isn’t a great MMORPG, the game is very buggy, and frequent crashes are to be expected, particularly if you own an ATI graphics card. However the space combat, provided it’s filled with human players, can be  a rewarding experience. It would seem though, that Star Trek Online has been rushed to release, and the plot and consequently a large chunk of the missions have suffered for it.

MapleStory is fairly typical of fantasy based MMORPGs. It’s is based around exploring dungeons and battling monsters, while gathering Mesos (money) and experience points as well as items in order to level up. Monsters in MapleStory are never human, which is odd for an MMORPG, instead MapleStory will have you fight the undead, animals, plants, oozes and constructs. The MapleStory world consists of 4 large continents, common to all versions of MapleStory, complete with jungles, planes, mountains, tundra and more. The world is full of towns and cities to explore and interact with other players.  You can play a number of minigames with other players and the chat system is very entertaining considering the amount of expression you can make your character display while talking. MapleStory has a huge number of quests to go on, which centre mainly on overcoming obstacle courses, gathering resources, or defeating monsters and claiming items. When you start MapleStory you customize your character, however you don’t chose a class, instead you are given a beginner job to undertake, while you familiarize yourself with the game. Once you reach level 10 your able to chose your class; Warrior, Pirate, Magician, Thief or Bowman.

Despite having only 2 dimensions, MapleStory has a very engaging graphical style, reminiscent of Saturday morning cartoons. The game world is bright and colorful. MapleStory has an extremely rich 3D backdrop, which changes as you move across the screen. The towns and cities in MapleStory are well defined and memorable. The characters themselves are extremely detailed, and hugely customizable.

MapleStory is not without its faults. There is a lot of grind involved in leveling, and at higher levels it can take a good few weeks level up. You should always check the reward for your quest, they can sometimes be pitiful when considering what your tasked to do. The music in MapleStory is good for a while, but it gets repetitive, but luckily there’s a mute button.

Despite its faults, MapleStory is a fun game with charming graphics, you’ll meet decent people, see them talking about the oddest things, and the character you create will really grow on you.

By this I mean; a medieval world? Such as Evony Free Forever. Or perhaps a Dogs of the Sea setting which throws the gamer into a world on the high seas of boats, sword fights and buried treasure.

Or do you go with a modern setting? It’s hard to tell what todays gamers like; and to determine this we need to seek out which are the demographics of our gamers -

* Young, school based gamers?
* Internet cafe crowd, playing free MMORPG online games and MMORTS titles (Maybe teens?)
* Workplace based gamers (Certainly 21 years plus)

Now of those, you would see the majority of gamers would come from the 21 years and under group. While there are plenty of older gamers, slightly more would come from the younger group and they would have more time on their hands.

Do older backgroups such as Knights, Pirates and Cowboys appeal to them? Maybe.

If you take the latest example of Evony; you’ll see they have captured multiple markets – getting kids, older players and even females into their gaming world.

Result – huge success and massive growth.
